Dear Sandy and Herb,

Thank you, SOOO much, for a fabulous weekend!!!! You are wonderful hosts and it was so nice to get to bed early, kick back, be waited on, eat great food, and see beautiful country!!!
Your Town is Fantastic; we hope you can restore much more of it!!!!
Polly says "thank you", also...you were so kind, in letting her be a part of everything!
We pray to return soon!
We got to Stateline, and did lots of exploring; does someone live in the cabin there, or do folks just visit it??? We want to explore that entire area one day! And travel as much as possible on the dirt "back roads"!!

Again, thank you, and God bless you,

Connie, Dennis, and Polly

Hello there we were there June of 2007 and it was totally dead, kinda freaky actually. I knocked on the saloon door like 3 times and no answer, I am sad to hear all these good comments and we didn't get to experience anything, maybe if we ever get that way again someone will be there to greet us and show us around.

Sheriff Stone and Red Dog Lil,
We rode into town with the outlaw Phil Kember last week. I'm sorry that we missed you, but Walt was a great host in the saloon. The group had a fun morning photographing the buildings and Americana. Kudos to you for the restoration on Gold Point. Your hard work and dedication are evident.

Loved the website! Intrigued by the article in our local paper. Population 25,000. (I thought that was small) We have visited Reno area and loved it and will keep this ghosttown in mind for future visit. Keep up the great work at saving part of the Old West. Everyone should have a passion in life, but not everyone finds one! I am glad you found your!

Herb, Hope you remember who I am. Staying at Gold Point was the highlite of our vacation. Had we known we would have spent a few more days there. But unless you have been to Gold Point and experienced it you will have no idea what I am talking about. Just go there and see. I hope you use this letter to tell people about relaxing and enjoying good people. That's what Gold Point is all about.

Howdy! Sheriff Stone & Red Dog Lil, We found the trail back home but miss the solitude of Gold Point. Thank you, for the warm welcome and allowing us to live with you for a few days. I can't think of anything better then joining you folks each evening for dinner and lively conversation around the dinner table. We also enjoyed the working man size breakfast each morning, WOW!!! All that fresh bread, brownies, homemade ice cream, and the chocolate cream pie. We both left town packing a few more pounds, and big smiles. We had a very exciting stay in Gold Point! We've hoping to ride into town again soon! Happy Trails The Crystal River Kid Colorado Slim

Thanks for the great hospitality, Sandy. Sorry I couldn't meet up with you, Sheriff, but I understand when duty calls out on the frontier you need to take care of it. And cheers to Goldpoint resident Pat for the awesome dinner and breakfast! P.S. The saloon is fantastic!
