Aloha Herb, er I mean Sheriff Stone! We really had a great time staying with you on April 6,7,& 8. Your hospitality was above and beyond the call, your culinary skills are the best - we are still stuffed from all the good country cooking! The mine tours and the trip to the waterfall were much appreciated and entertaining. The fun at the Saloon goes without saying except next time well beat Pat & Walt. Again, thanks for the great time. We will be back! Richard & Joye Irwin. Sunday, April 15, 2001 - Kauai, Hawaii

We live just across the mountains to the west. May get old towns. I have looked on the internet for small towns, but didnt realize there were any ghost towns like yours , that great, and here I found it in a magazine, I have found articles that I have saved on small towns, but this is something that really cought my eye. I just wish you werent so far away, we live 50 Miles S. if Minneapolis, but then I have 17 more working days and then I am going to retire down to one day a week, so maybe we can make it to your place sometime. I would like to drive my 40 Ford Coupe, but then my wife may have her idea on going such a long way with the car. I have turned it into a street Rod, so it has all the latest features, Air, Cruise, rack & pinion steering, etc., I have owned the car since 1955. Better sign off for now or she will say I am rattling on too long, but then thats what the article says about you, thats what life is all about, right. Take care, and you deserve a big hand for what you have done to preserve, and bring the town back again. Good luck. Tom (TRIZ) Wednesday, April 11, 2001 - Minneapolis, MN

I recently read about this ghost town in the August 17, 2000, Council Bluffs, Iowa, "Nonpareil." I immediately went to your web page. I love it. Like the music too. If I would vist and stay at this ghost town, what activities are available? Im an avid bicyclist, and I can ride a horse. I am glad I found this site. Thank you. Dianne Friday, August 18, 2000

Ive just spent the past hour reading all about Gold Point. What a wonderful website you have! I learned a bit more about Americas history as well as a chunk of Nevadas history. Id sincerely like to visit Gold Point in the near future. The cost to stay at the B&B is outside the perimeters of my frugality; however, I would like to camp there in my tent, if that is possible. Good luck on restoring Gold Point for all future visitors as well as for those, like me, who love to visit ghost towns in our beloved country. :)

Read a great article in our New Jersey newspaper about you and your ghost town. My husband and I passed that way over a year ago and this time (October) will try to stop in on our way from Yosemite to Las Vegas.

Herb: I read about your efforts today in a newspaper in the East. I appreciate your vision and sense of history. And it isnt everyone who would invest their winnings and also spend them to preserve the history of the American West. Im a history buff and would relish visiting Gold Point and taking in the ambience and hearing the local lore. Good luck with your efforts. Happy Trails, Tim Mullen Wednesday, August 16, 2000
