What a surprize. Haven't been to Goldpoint since the 50's. My uncles, Angus and Harold Stone, owned a cabin and did some prospecting and claim work there each year. I have pumped gas from the hand pumps in front of the post office and, of course, I know Harry and Ora Mae Wiley. You've done a great job Sheriff Stone.

Hey there Sheriff Stone & Red Dog Lil~!!! EVERY trip to Gold Point is a WONDERFUL trip! This weekend we will be bringing the secret recipe for Gold Point Elixir, and samples. We will also be bringing (on CD) our collection so far of old photos and photos of historical places and then you can print the ones you like best. It will be fun to be abe to take (sepia) "Old Time Photos" of guests, and we will be ready to do that as soon as the computer is hooked up. One more item to add to the list of things to do in Gold Point! We are planning the next Las Vegas Gem Club for May 2002. We should have a bigger group next time, and I know we handle it! You know, this first recipe of Elixir isn't half bad, but the final recipe is EXCELLENT! I had to try them to make sure. Is it still hunting season? Just in case, we will come prepared. Have you looked at my webpage? I have Gold Point Photos there and of course, a link to your page. I need to reduce the byte size of the pics so I can add more pictures of Gold Point. Sandy, I can hardly wait to show you the new costumes I have! Sorry we will miss Herb, but we will see him next time. Courtney is disappointed she isn't going but she understands a "trip" is when you bring your kids and a "vacation" is when you don't bring them! She said to tell you Happy Holidays and she will be with us on the next trip. We will tell you all about this last trip to Tombstone when we get there. See you Friday! Hugs and Kisses! XOXO Cindy & Jim P.S. The blanks you have to fill in (Add to Guestbook) should have an asterik by them.

Happy Thanks Giving! It was 16 years ago today that I first took my family to Gold Point. That trip has changed this holiday for my family forever. It was snowing and the drive took all night with chain control and closed roads. In a 1963 Ford van that lost its generator around 3:00 am we got there about 9:00 am Thanks Giving day. My two teenage Daughters were taken back by where we were, and reguested full disclosure on there true genetic background. Covered in snow the place was magic. A powerful mix of serenity, beauty, and adventure. We stayed three days. The wood fired stoves delivered turkeys with all the fixins. Three days ago I was called and invited once more to Gold Point for Thanks Giving. But the trip is not in the cards this year, I wish it was. In a little wile I will go to Placerville and visit my oldest daughter who now is married with two boys of her own. But like the last 15 Thanks Givings, there will be fond tails of that magic Thanks Giving, the one at Goild Point. Thank you Hurb and Sandy...WE LOVE YOU.

I want to see your ghost town when it cools off in the desert. Sounds like a way cool place to go. I would give an extra tip for someone to give me a personal mining tour in a gold mine. Is there an RV spot around there? Can you ride dirtbikes? When does it cool off? Hope to here from you .....ED.

For those of you just "checkin it out", don't hesitate to commit to a trip to Goldpoint. It's a fun and beautiful place, and the proprietors are the kind of people that are a priveledge to meet. I know, I've been there. So go on down (up?) and have a great time.
